What difference does it make
if you're not here with me?
The sun, the moon, the stars
All shine a little less brightly.
The cold less chilling,
The waves less fierce;
A needlepoint
Which cannot pierce.
Sounds are muffled,
Colors mute;
A loaded gun
That will not shoot.
If you're not here with me,
