take me somewhere I've never been
let me smell the air, see the colors
with these virgin eyes
a new scene, a fresh adventure
break me out of this mold: this coffin
that binds my thoughts & constricts my lungs
I am held captive by my ego
by shackles I placed on my own ankles
by limits I put on my own freedom
I've lost sight of anything beyond these iron bars
this cage in which I rest
here is the key; break me loose
I'm ready to step outside these four walls
to see the world I, myself, have hidden from view
this self-imposed confinement shall last no longer
call it boldness or desperation
I am moving on
