whether I'm still or I wander
I act or I ponder
nothing seems to make sense
yet what comes next
is anyone's guess
maybe I'll quest
to make the best
of whatever request
is thrown my way
today of all days
is the day I choose
refuse to lose
cut the fuse
extinguish the flame
let me loose
Held down by none
a job undone
under the gun
by day's end
I'll have won
can't hold me back
hesitation I lack
I'm on the attack
watch me break free
be the best me
then maybe you'll see
just how courageous
I can be
though nothing makes sense
I’ll act, I'll ponder
and still, yet, I choose to wander
