Red Sun

by ·

8/22/2017
The red sun scorches
my naked body, bare.
A fireball cast
from the Heavens, above,
rains down blood
from fiery air.

Sun-soaked scorn
melts flesh from bone;
scratching and clawing
till all my skin's peeled.
My wounds never healed.
For sweet solace, I bemoan.
