Opportunities come and go
but when they present, take note
they don't come often so be on your game
be prepared to "gloat"
but not in a way that paints you poorly
one that talks up your strengths
and when you reflect on times: good & bad
always remember to give thanks
everything you've learned along the way
has brought you to where you are
without each and every one of those times
you wouldn't have made it this far
at the end of the day, no matter what comes
it's another experience to show
and with every question they choose to ask
gives the chance to grow
so take the talk for what it is
a forum for you to learn
one day soon, your time will come
you'll get what you deserve
