Good news after good news
you'd think would bring me joy
but in reality
my ego it destroys
Dying to hear "Yes,
the process is all done."
I'll probably never hear it
'til my final setting sun.
At this point I need closure
"yes" or "no" is fine
a break in the monotony
before my nerves unwind.
But until that day's upon us
impatiently I wait
phone-side I listen
to hear my lasting fate.
