The truth is that we are not all the same.
Race, gender, sexual orientation, disability, ...
all factor into how we are treated in society.
Let us not deny the role our differences play.
Let us understand, however, that without our differences,
we would not be who we are, as individuals or as a people.
We share something that transcends any and all of our differences:
humanity.
Humanity, decency, understanding.
These are values by which we should abide.
So let us celebrate our differences, and join together
in a common, unified humanity.
