Everything I Want To Be

by ·

2/18/2017
When everything out there is what I want to be
With all that I am inside.
So long I have waited, dreamt of life free
From the doubt which keeps/confines me in exile.

Through bars of uncertainty I caress your face,
Sweep the hair from your breast.
But my fingers imprisoned in the emptiness of space
Disappearing like the quaintness of your breath.

To escape this doubt brings a dusty road;
A vagabond, I wander to thee.
Befriended by hope, in her hand she holds
Everything I want to be.
