If my deepest intent is to write truth
Then truth I shall write (despite)
No matter how grim the story may be
No matter how blinding the light
I'll narrate my tale, as honest I can
No detail I shall spare
I will tell of of the highs and tell of the lows
Words gentle and words austere
Lullabies you shall not hear.
