now that i'm here
i have nothing to fear
except fear is all that remains
every noise
that bellowing voice
binds my mind in chains
i should be calm
but that feels wrong
on the precipice of despair
a safe haven, i see
but can't quite reach
my hands grasp not even air
oh! to be free
but where do i flee
baggage too heavy to hold
can't carry the weight
the hour is late
i've begged, borrowed, and stole
fire screams in
casting light on my sins
i've been drinking gasoline
every ounce i've earned
deserving to burn
all too fitting: this scene
in agony, i cry
but hope belies
dying alone in my shame
my flesh: exposed
a feast for the crows
and only myself to blame
