Peering through the window, near
I see my presence, ever-clear
Blanketed by hazy fog
All distractions disappear
Alone with my inner dialogue
What I find is misplaced fear
Fear of the black, foreboding unknown
Out of the darkness, a fetching moan
I'm losing the illusion of control
I'm shackled down by all that is wrong
A lifetime of want, destined for droll
My own free will is all but gone
