A Breath of Fresh Air

by ·

12/28/2017
In the wake of carnage, destruction, despair,
Floats a lonely breath of fresh air.
How patiently she drifts along:
Looking for somewhere to belong.
With only sinful souls in sight,
She carries out her arduous plight
To find a worthy, virgin soul,
Board his vessel, make him whole.
She searches heaven, searches hell:
A place she has come to know all too well.
When at last a distant body appears.
Evil plagues his heart, she fears.
The closer he comes, the clearer she sees
He's right where she ought to be.
Body and breath, as one they are bound.
For all her searching, at last, she's found.
No more shall she live in lonely despair:
A worthy soul and a breath of fresh air.
