You Cut Me Deep

by ·

12/5/2017
You cut me deep
with the words you speak
leaving me deaf, dumb, and blind.

It wasn't your intent
but now you regret
the hurt you have left behind.

In obliged appeal
you hope to heal
that which cannot be seen.

Little do you know
the wounds I don't show
can never be made clean.

So it festers and rots
as I stare at the clock
waiting for my final day.

But powers you lack
to ever bring back
the life you have taken away.
