With You

by ·

1/25/2017
Burning light,
in the dead of night,
with my eyes shut tight:
(I still see you.)

Gentle, your figure,
in my dreams, you linger,
the most delicate splinter:
(I still feel you.)

A sensual waft,
subtle—soft,
for a moment I'm lost:
(I still smell you.)

The faintest sound,
yet explosively profound,
your breath surrounds:
(I still hear you.)

Salty sweet,
rolling down your cheek,
to where our lips meet:
(I still taste you.)

Wherever you are,
no matter how far,
the brightest star:
I am still with you.
