As the winter wind chills the air,
She fills her belly to prepare.
Her restful slumber draws e'er nigh,
Ghastly howls consume the sky.
Frantically searching for one last meal,
She takes the life of an unknowing seal.
With that final bounty, starvation will be fought,
Praying that murder was not for naught.
She closes her eyes unsure if she'll wake,
A chilling reminder of how easy
a life is
to take.
