What You Ought To Do

by ·

9/14/2016
Doing what you ought to do
when what you ought to do is tough
I've lost myself and I haven't a clue
if I even measure up

To who I am or who I was
mysteries surround
Impossible to tell because
I'm buried 'neath the ground

I haven't seen the light of day
since only God knows when
Silent under a sky of gray
A tombstone above my head

So what will be will be I guess
I know what I ought to do
To find myself I must confess
But where I haven't a clue
