We Pass Like Strangers

by ·

10/30/2017
We pass like strangers
on a crowded street
without so much
as a passing glance

We used to see
eye to eye, now
you just eye me up
like a foreign object

It used to be
me and you
against the world
but now the world
crashes down on me
all alone

Where did we go?
When did we die?
I wish I knew
so I could go back in time
and save us from destruction
