Today was a day with smiles and tears.
Today was the day I've been having for years.
When I look at today and ask myself why—
All I can see is everything gone awry.
But how can this be when all is so grand?
Our successes, our victories, they are but grains of sand;
And with the waves crashing down, washing all this sand away—
Stand tall and remember, tomorrow is a brand new day.
