Toil and Tell

I toil and tell
as if all is well
but all is not well
in fact

The truth of the day
is in the things I don't say
because what I would say
is fact

But I quietly stay
lies on replay
always on replay
in my mind

So what I say instead
is buttered like bread
and what remains unsaid
is mine

What I don't speak
will eventually seep
out my mouth with a peep
it must

When that day's here
I'll shout and cheer
you'll finally hear
what's just
