Thunder Rolls In

Thunder rolls in like a cloud of smoke
From far beyond the eye can see
A tidal wave; and unstoppable force
Carrying our cumulative sins
And depositing them on our doorsteps
Smoke so dense, no one can breathe
No one can see, no one can hear
Muted screams fall flat
As we're consumed by the evil
Of our own making
