Take a break is what they say
but how can I, when I'm on my way?
on my way to better than here
cruising along, shifting gears
dust in the rear view, foot on the gas
looking to the future, forgetting the past
I know where I've been, I've learned what I could
disregard the proverbial "should"
where I go next, I really don't know
(But) I'm driving through the moonlight's glow
what's waiting for me, I soon will see
I'm confident of its certain beauty
I'll know I've arrived, trust when I say
(And) I won't rest until that day
I'll be on his journey, as long as it takes
just me and the road, no time to breaks
And if that beauty should ever wane
I'll be back in my car, I won't refrain
there's no single destination I know
my spirit will morph and change and grow
perhaps one day, the place where I lay
becomes the place I choose to stay
and if that day comes, I'll finally rest
embrace the beauty, consider myself blessed
