Slowly Fading

by ·

1/27/2019
I sit here waiting, slowly fading
from a world: complicated
so much hating, mindless slaving
never abating, growing frustrated
I just can't take it, I must be mistaken
One day soon, I'll have to face it
if I make it, or just fake it
or if I lie here completely naked
Before the final battle's waging
I have to prove that I'm worth saving
the devil himself must be persuaded
only them will death be evaded
the dice of life have been shaken
one final roll before I'm taken
my ship is laden by the hands of Satan
when the lips of promise are sated
catch me soon before I'm faded
