Loneliness drapes over me
like a silky sheet of sin
protecting me from the world around
but not from the demons within
nightmares unrelenting
viciously they chide
trapped under this silky sheet
nowhere to run and hide
stumbling in darkness
no safety shall be found
I can't escape my demons
they'll always be around
