Sharpen my Tongue

by ·

4/21/2024
Sharpen my tongue
Whet my words
Waxing poetic
Erupting absurd

Not for defense
Ready the attack
Spitting words
I can't take back

Sheaths and scabbards
Not for me
My sword is drawn
In sunlight gleams

Then clouds fold over
The once blue sky
Raining couplets
Sonnets nigh

Weeping stanzas
Flood the streets
Painting poems
On grey concrete

Letters amass
Joining in words
Waxing poetic
Erupting absurd
