Seasons' Embrace

by ·

1/8/2024
green grass grows
Flowers bloom
Springtime rain
Falling soon
Heat will come
Fill the room
Sounds of summer
A blissful tune

the sparrow flies
the tree stands tall
the summer sun
the leaves of fall
nature's bounty
surrounds us all
listen closely
for the call

winds blow gospel
quiet, and you'll hear
love begets a promise
lend a willing ear
take my open hand
expel your wildest fear
we journey together
ever-far and near

leaves brown
birds flock
to the south
days tick and tock
slowly shorten
'til nighttime mocks
time seems fading
mind the clock

(but...)
with winter brings
a cozy scene
a burning fire
moonlit beams
tender snuggles
chamomile steams
all is still
as it seems

winter's short
night to day
flowers soon
are on their way
seasons change
pallor fades
brilliance born
in front of my face
life anew
a seasons' embrace
