Roots

Mistakes are like roots of a tree
the more you have
the taller the tree can grow
they act as an open straw
soaking up the knowledge of the earth
we hide our mistakes deep underground
show them to no one
but it is those roots that are
the foundation upon which we live
without them, we would shrivel and die
in the hot, bright sun
