How do you win
when you're already lost
you race for the top
but at what cost
when you get to the summit
you see a higher peak
an endless climb
you mindlessly seek
don't look back now
you'll see what you've missed
you've lost focus
on everything but this
you traded all
that's important in life
for a title, a paycheck
emotional strife
was it worth it all
at the end of the day
eyes closed, deep sighs
you'd rather not say
