Rains like Thunder

by ·

5/15/2016
It rains like thunder
On the eve of that night.
     Crashing down—
     All hope is drowned

Now chained to the bed,
My own mind I dread.
     Pouring in:
     My every sin

Submerged I sink,
     With my song still unsung.
In catacombs I drink,
     (Until) bitterness fills my lungs

My last breath of air
     Floats to the sky,
Locked in this chamber
     Left here to die.
