One Step Forward

One step forward on this journey through life
Where will it lead me? Somewhere that isn't here
No telling if there will be better than here
So I have to just trust that I will enjoy the path to there
Along the way, another road may emerge
And I may take that road, leading somewhere
But I will never run from here, I will only run to there
With the breeze at my back, I travel boldly
Assuredly certain that the path from here to there
Will be fraught with heartache and filled with joy
Embrace the heartache and joy, such is life
And life is all about the journey
