Not Quite Sure

I'm not quite sure
where I am today
but I know where I'm not
and that's under your reign
under your spell
I know all too well
how it feels to dwell
in a man-made hell
in a place so dark
no spark
can light the way
out of that place
yet I know today
somehow, someway
I've made my way
to someplace better
no matter the weather
love won't be fettered
I've come so far
I won't be teathered
to the dark any longer
I'm proud to be stronger
let the sun shine longer
free to wander
to any place I choose to be
where I can simply be me
