No One Will Know

by ·

12/12/2016
Twinge, flicker, quiver, and curl,
I rile and shake until my dressings unfurl.

On the floor, naked, shrouded in shame,
Alone in this nightmare, huddled in pain.

Invisible to the world around,
Surrounded by people who can't hear a sound.

I scream bloody murder until my lungs explode,
No one takes notice—no one will know.
