Is my mind
mine to own
or just to loan
so you can hold
bend and mold
so I can't know
what it looked like before
I can't recognize
shouldn't be surprised
I tried
but you lied
on your good will
I foolishly relied
now I cry
as you pry
my mind away
it can't stay
you won't let it
wander and play
the way
it used to
free and gay
now it's all gray
and you say to me
I gave it away
before I knew
it would be this way
now I wallow and weep
toss in my sleep
I'm in too deep
for mind and body
to rejoin, complete
with my mind not mine
my body retreats
into the dark of night
where there's no light
no sight
where I don't need to fight
where I can just hide
in a place you can't chide
or deride
insulated from the outside
it's gray and dark
where you are
but you see by a spark
with clarity, so sharp
mark my words
I'll take my mind back
though the odds are stacked
I'm ready to attack
be prepared
I'm no longer scared
I'll no longer give in
to the sin
that brought me here
that let you win
it's crystal clear
It’s my turn
my turn to win
