Miserable Pride

by ·

12/10/2016
My aching legs—tired, long;
My weary arms—fragile, once strong.

My empty chest—hollow, worn;
My shattered shoulders—bloody, torn;
My naked shame—unworthy, forlorn.

My lonely soul—begging to belong;
My miserable pride—once here, now gone.
