Lost, So Lost (v2)

by ·

9/8/2017
Lost in the night
holding your hand
praying you find me
help me to stand
in shadowy exile
I suffer alone
no one to save me
chilled to the bone
waiting for my hero
to sweep me away
frozen, distraught
long the day
the face of my hero
matters not
bound in loneliness
my sins have begot
I see a silhouette
in the distance appear
closer you come
expel my fears
you promise the end
and hold me tight
we take off together
into the night
I've begged and bled
for this very day
when my hero arrives
sweeps me away
from sin and transgression
you offer reprieve
blowing my past
away like leaves
now warm in your arms
we travel to forever
the night and I
finally together
