Judging My Scars

You see my scars
and immediately judge
you don't want to hear my story
you want to cast judgment upon me
label me
but if you cared to listen
I bet we have more in common than you think
we all have scars
some on the inside
and some visible for the world to see
listen to my story
really try to understand
maybe I can teach you or you can teach me
either way
we will grow from each other
please please don't judge my scars
before first finding out who I really am
