Into Your Vein

by ·

7/12/2018
Carve my name
Into your vein
Tell me it will be ok
Tell me that this pain will end
This pain will end
This pain must end

Whisper softly
Amidst pools of red
Sing the words
That need to be said
Cuff me, tie me
To the bed
Tell me it was not in vain
You bled

How can you say
Without a doubt
When you listen to
My gargled shouts
This pain will end
This pain must end
I beg, I plead
I’m on my knees
I can't keep going
I won’t concede
The weather vane
Points west to east
Toward the rising sun
The horizon’s breeze
Black to red
Atop woeful seas
Howl my name
Tidal waves bleed
