Play all day
in such a way
happiness stays
stave dismays
blissfully crazed
in a maze
unphased
for days
and days
I stay
where they praise
and raise
I'm amazed
overjoyed
I need a phrase
To sum it all up
No words are enough
fill my cup
we'll sup
together
two birds, one feather
loosen the tether
ride off to forever
no matter the weather
I'll play all day
overjoyed
hands raised
just as long
as we're together
whether or not
our path is fraught
a persistent love
we begot
like a cannon
we've been shot
to the top
no way to stop
right to the spot
where we met that day
the beginning of May
birds chirp all day
dance and play
without care
to present to be scared
well-prepared
for fight of flight
into the night
no sight needed
when there's no light
yet we find a way
to play all day
night won't stay
I pray
I stay
'til tomorrow
is today
only then
can we truly say
I lived for today
