I don’t know why
But when clouds cry
I feel alive
Standing outside
Arms out wide
I open my eyes
Stare into the sky
Soak in the rain
With every breath, I’m high
Peace so nigh
It weakens my thighs
Down on my knees, I realize
The earth drinks and then sighs
A sigh of relief
Flowers weep
As silver sustenance slowly seeps
Life creeps
And then leaps
In full bloom, flowers keep
Me at peace, I softly speak
Smell the roses, oh, so sweet
Then out of the blue, they rise to greet
Their maker, their mother, reach for her heat
A glorious glow, a magnificent feat
They drink and eat
Jump up to their feet
Dance to the beat
Until the sun and horizon meet
They settle into their beds, their seats
Don’t make a peep
As they slowly drift off to sleep
I Don't Know Why
