Hopeful Embers Glow

by ·

9/12/2017
Hopeful embers glow, but don't grow;
Air is sucked from the room.
A hushed flame, no one to blame;
Suffocating in this vacuum.

A breathless sigh, a tearless cry;
Flowers will not bloom.
Cloudless rain, pleasing pain;
Respite won't come soon.
