Here We Are Again

3/20/2019
well, here we are again
you & i
dancing this dance
a chemical romance
round & round
we twirl & spin
performing for empty
crowds again
i remember the steps
as we count in four
gliding across
the polished floor
your hand in mine
eyes of brown
looking at me
not looking down
we know just how
this dance will end
strike a pose
to the crowd's surprise
hold it until
the silence dies
