Goldfinch

Each blade of grass—a gift of life. Every flap of a butterfly's wings—a reminder of the delicacy of being: how something so small can send tidal waves across the ocean. A sharp yellow (American) Goldfinch rests his wings while he walks about. His unanswered/lonely chirp plays on repeat in my mind. The diversity of all things living is astounding in its vastness. We all stem from the same organism, all birthed from the same mother. We all share the gift of life. Respect our brothers and sisters; love them as your own, for we are all one under the sun.
