Triggered by the passing breeze
Carrying the faintest thought of you
I hear your voice, a poison—disease
Dulling even the sharpest of hues
I feel you in each labored breath
A weight pressing upon my chest
Tightly holding onto my lungs
Leaving me my song: unsung
Always present while never there
I'm left waiting for you to arrive
Decency is one thing you could never spare
Neither in death nor when alive
So leave, leave, let me be
Give me a single ounce of reprieve
You proved your point, now let me be
Be gone for good, give back the breeze
