Edge of Bitter Despair

by ·

8/31/2015
Brisk silence gallops forward
Leaving behind a chilling void.
Their deafening shadows race onward,
Promising sweet darkness in defeat.

Ringing silence like a thousand bells
Brings me to the edge of bitter despair.
Inching me closer to my fated end,
Their luminous gaze storms hauntingly near.

Harrowing echoes of nothingness are all that remain
Once the sultry demons are gone.
Making good on their promise, I am left deaf, dumb, and blind.
Feeling no pain my lonely silence.
