Deluge

7/17/2018
A deluge of damning thoughts showers upon my like a thousand
pounds of sin. What I've done wrong, I don't yet know, something
so hellish to make me deserv'ed of this horrific fate. How long they'll
last? I'll never know until the day my penance delivers me from
purgatory. But until then, I will run from tree to tree, cave to cave,
hoping—praying—to stay dry from this torment.
