one person's darkness
is someone else's light
when one sees dim stars
another's sun burns bright
if one's knocked down
another stands to fight
I will not be blinded
by the night
I will not hide
out of sight
I won't be afraid
of menacing frights
I won't be deterred
to stand upright
I will not apologize
wrong or right
I will not surrender
all my might
watch me now
as I take flight
