Crisp Sadness

by ·

3/10/2016
Crisp sadness
          with every bite:
Bright red—the color of my disdain.
Sour desire drips
from the corners
of my indifference.
Hungering for
          the sweet taste of life:
Juicy and tender;
Now rotten,
          but once ripe.
