Am I content being content?
Or is there something more?
I ask this of myself earnestly.
Desperate to be content, but confusing content with complacent.

I look out into the world and wonder.
Can the sky be one shade bluer?
Can the grass be any more green?
Somehow ignorant to the fact that perfection is right before me.

But when I look at you, I have no doubt.
Your eyes the color of milk chocolate: gazing past my imperfections.

A smile that speaks to the soul: calming assurances of acceptance and companionship.

How could there be anything more?

When all that is good in life embraces me, yes me, the sky, the grass, transform into a devine portrait.

Colors so vibrant they could only be painted by the hands of god.
So alive, so personal, created just for me.
Inspired by the ecstasy only you can make me feel.

If wanting this moment to last forever is being content, I would ask for nothing more.
