Closing Time

by ·

8/9/2017
Closing time, the day was long
Pack up your things, let's go
So many things I still don't know
For now, I have to let them go.

I need to be reassured
That it's not for naught
The miles I fought
The progress we sought is slow.

When can I finally rest?
My eyes are tired
my brain is expired
But I'm still wired to go.

The end of the day has come and gone
I need to rest
I tried my best
I have no more zest to show.
