Chains of Indifference

by ·

9/30/2016
Once imprisoned by chains of indifference
Shackled by the grasp of despair
I will one day break free from lonely sorrow
Freedom—a breath of fresh air

Today you see me down on my knees
Praying you'll loosen the reins
Little do you know—one day soon
I'll rise up—my spirit regained

These shackles remind me
Of all my crimes
But for all the pain they bring
They will not define me.
