Breathing Shrapnel

I breathe words and drop bombs
on the page. Like lead cannon balls
shot at an enemy, sometimes they hit
and sometimes they miss. And sometimes
the blast is just close enough to
inflict damage, as shrapnel is blasted
in a scattered rage; no one is safe from harm.
